I've always been very comfortable with coding in a simple text text editor, and organising projects, versions etc. in a well-structured folder tree.
It was only a couple of years back when I was playing around with WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) and the tutorial I was reading referenced Visual Studio Code extensively that I thought I'd give it a try.
There is a learning curve, but it's not really too steep.
I'll try to reassemble the steps I went through to become comfortable with it in a future article.
